El artículo presenta los resultados del diagnóstico del sector carrocero de la ZIF-TNS, para ello, el análisis se realiza
desde el enfoque de la cadena productiva según Pietrobelli y Rabellotti y de la cadena de valor y la ventaja competitiva de Porter. Además, se analizan las políticas públicas colombianas y venezolanas con incidencia en el sector, así como la eficiencia colectiva y las acciones conjuntas. Los resultados se presentan siguiendo una escala de Lickert. Finalmente, las conclusiones y recomendaciones giran en torno a las opciones de consolidación del sector y a la posibilidad de crear un régimen legal binacional o transfronterizo que permita su desarrollo.

This article presents the results of an analysis conducted on the automotive industry in the Border Integration Zone between Táchira and Norte de Santander. The analysis is carried out from the perspective of the production chain of Pietrobelli and Rabellotti, and the value chain and competitive advantage of Porter. Additionally, it examines the Colombian and Venezuelan governmental policies, as well as the collective efficiency and joint actions that affect the automotive industry. The
results are presented in a Lickert scale. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations focus on the industry consolidation options and the possibility of creating a bi-national or trans-border legal regime that favors its development.
