Este ensayo de carácter argumentativo tiene como objetivo generar indicadores del pensamiento gerencial emergente a partir de la definición de los siguientes descriptores: lo epistemológico, lo axiológico, lo estratégico, las tecnologías. De allí se derivaron subdimensiones con sus respectivos descriptores que marcan el discurso del pensamiento emergente y que contribuyen a explicar e interpretar desde un andamiaje teórico, el derrumbe del pensamiento gerencial heredado de la modernidad. Se concluye con un conjunto de reflexiones que nos permiten avizorar que las ciencias administrativas y gerenciales deben contextualizar el discurso gerencial emergente para poder determinar cuan preparadas están para afrontar el reto de la sociedad del conocimiento o del aprendizaje.
